Truly the golden age of pro football.
With all due respect, it was the 1969 Chiefs who won Super Bowl IV on January 11, 1970. The image of the Chiefs from Super Bowl IV has little to do with the 1970 Chiefs who went 7-5-2.
Its a thumb nail with the choir huddle. Good Enough!
The Chiefs Would Have Too Wait Another 28 Years Too Get Back Too The Super Bowl
Watching the chiefs really turned me on to football. Unfortunately I think of all the time spent watching football instead of educating myself. It was fun and great but if I could do it over again I would really concentrate on learning.
Like Facenda said the final season at Municipal Stadium and one last classic game
Besides The Bills, Would The Chiefs Or Vikings Be Considered The 90's Other Underachievers?
Oilers maybe also.
Falcons in Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, beating the Saints. All was as it should be.
This could be the last time Pat & Tom called the Boston Patriots. Next year they moved to Foxboro, Massachusetts to become the New England Patriots!!!!
charlies response as to whom he thinks the AFLchampion will be was a 'word salad' i'm like, huh? it wasnt an answer but an avoidance

Good-bye today to Roman Gabriel, dead at 83. Only saw the high lites on programs loke this, so thanks much.
The late great Len Dawson on the narration.
2:05 Damn Grandma! 👀
DeBerg was already ancient mid-career
Loved this program as a kid. I would run home from church to see it!!
Back when football was real!!
If the Joe Delaney tragedy didn't happen the Chiefs would've been a playoff team in the 80s.
I can name so many of these old players. I can't name 5 Patriots players and I'm a Pats fan.
Just love Elmo Wright's TD shuffle!!!
A milestone for Kansas City Chiefs fans in 1971. Then, they moved to Arrowhead Stadium a year later. CHIEFS KINGDOM 4EVA!!!
Can you add the 1980-1982 video
I dont have those years but here's 1981 from another channel. ruclips.net/video/g9yOTNheP5M/видео.html
Embarrassing road losses to open and close 1970 + their inability to defeat the Raiders doomed KC's chances for a playoff slot, let alone a repeat. The home loss to Tom Landry's Super Bowl V bound Cowboys was especially telling, serving as an ominous NFL-style reality check from the franchise that drove them out of Dallas following the '62 season. Losing to Lou Saban and Charlie Waller coached teams didn't light up the path, either. But, never mind all of that. Fast forward a half century and it's all good. The Chiefs' fortunes have taken a major upturn since this track was posted. The wait was long, especially for surviving fans from SB IV. However, KC's success is undeniable. How much longer it may last is anyone's guess.
This Week in Football does take you back. Just in time for Retro Day today!!!
Thank you. I can remember alot of these games. It was a fun time. Wished they could of gotten to the SB. I still loved the Chiefs. DT, Neil Smith, Joe, Marcus.
That team was a high scoring offense.
To be champions again .lol 🏈😂🤣🏹👍🏃🏃
RIP Norm Snead!❤
Listen at John facenda .👍🏈😂🤣🏹
What's a Damn Shame is how this Orange Moronic Boy is making a laughing stock of the judicial system! LOCK HIM UP!
There were two separate shows in 1968: the AFL show was hosted by Charlie Jones and was a half hour. Pat Summerall hosted the NFL show which was an hour long. They combined it two shows in 1969. Charlie Jones left NFL Films replaced by Tom Brookshier for 1970. 1968 was the first year NFL Films covered AFL games as part of the merger agreement.
Love the music and the slo mo!
This when the Redskins changed to the God awful yellow helmet
This guy was a beast🏈😆🏹👍👀😁
It's too bad that the closing of the doors to Municipal Stadium and the opening of the doors to Arrowhead Stadium marked the exact pivot point where the Chiefs switched from one of the consistently dominant teams to decades of erratic play.
I doubt Municipal Stadium would be standing by the time 2024 came around
Against Miami 😆💪🏈🏹👀👍
What a game. I will never forget that game😮😆💪🏈🏹👍👀
Elmore wright was smooth 😆💪🏈🏹👍👀
There that old music again😆💪🏈🏹👍👀
Wow those 70s chiefs💪🏈🏈🏹👍👀
There's. Warpaint. 😆🏈🏹👍👀
@26:26 I like the wording in the commentary “thrust” and “stacked” to go with the scenery lol

First Outside linebacker in Canton
That chiefs defense was a beast 🏈😁🏹👍😆
The production is outdated, but this is so much fun. I was just 7 and living in the Chicago suburbs. Go Patriots!
My dad was Mike Webster who played on this team . He was always SO proud of being part of what Marty was building in KC . We loved our time in KC so much ! (Hi vee and Winsteds were the best !
Hall of famer
I can't believe Mike played 2 years with the Chiefs after the Steelers. He had to be hurting. He looked like he weighed about 225 .
I used to get down to Three Rivers early during the 1983 season and watch Mike and Gary Anderson warm up before the games.
I miss the old school muddy uniforms
ESPN and cable TV has ruined sports through overexposure and productionizing. People were less brash and relauzed sports was an escape, not an addiction. Now, the "analytics" and slick haired executives have over-controlled the "prodcut" composed of "pieces" (i.e., himan beings, the players). The same goes for music and other entertainment. The 1970s was a golden age. Now, it is becoming part of the idiocracy. "On demand", 5-day a week reality shows. 😢
1970 with 1999 commercials = double nostalgia overload!
